We often get asked what a floral consultation with Bell’s Flowers looks like, so we’ve outlined everything you need to know to be fully prepared for your meeting with us.
How much does a consultation cost?
Good news – Bell’s Flowers offers all consultations completely free of charge! We know how important it is to meet with multiple vendors to ensure the best fit for your day, which is why we don’t charge a fee for consultations.
How do I book a consultation?
Booking is simple! Head to our “Brides to Be” section on our website and click the button to fill out the form. This form helps us gather the key details about your wedding day. After submitting it, we’ll reach out with available dates and times to schedule your consultation.
How do I know if my wedding date is available?
In the same “Brides to Be” section, you’ll find a list of dates when we’re either unavailable or offering limited services, so you can easily check our availability.
Can I send inspiration pictures?
Absolutely! We highly encourage you to send inspiration photos or share your Pinterest board with us. Since flowers and design are so visual, we want to make sure we’re on the same page and creating the exact look you envision for your big day. After you submit your form, we’ll ask for any photos or links to your boards.
What if I can’t make it in person for the consultation?
No problem at all! We’ve worked with couples from all over the country (and even internationally!). We can chat over the phone or schedule a video call – whichever is most convenient for you.
What should I bring or have prepared for my consultation?
Just bring yourself, and feel free to bring any guests you’d like to have involved in the process! We’ll take care of the rest, asking all the right questions to make sure we understand your vision.
What happens during a floral consultation?
We'll start by discussing the basic details of your day: the locations, times, guest count, and more. From there, we’ll dive into your floral needs, walking through a list of popular designs and options that many couples often select – plus some elements you might have forgotten, like flower petals or cake flowers! You’ll get to give us a thumbs-up, thumbs-down, or a "maybe" on each design. Then, we’ll talk about your color scheme and flower types (the fun part!).
What if I’m not sure what designs I want?
No worries at all! We know it can be overwhelming to make all those decisions in one sitting. After your consultation, we’ll send you a personalized form with visuals, pricing, and sizes. This allows you to take your time to review the designs with your family and discuss what you’d like. Most couples take a few days to submit their form, and once you do, we’ll send over your invoice and contract to finalize everything online.
I don’t know much about flower types. What should I do?
That’s completely okay! We recommend focusing on your overall color scheme rather than specific flower varieties. This way, we can work with what’s available and avoid any disappointments, as weather, crop failures, and shortages can affect flower availability. If there are particular flowers you love or dislike, just let us know, and we’ll do our best to bring your vision to life.
How do I officially book Bell’s Flowers for my wedding?
We’re so excited to be part of your wedding dream team! To officially book, we require a deposit of 1/3 of the total via invoice, which can be paid by card, check, or cash. You'll also need to electronically sign our contract.
What if I need to make changes to my invoice?
We understand that plans evolve! You can make changes to your order up until 30 days before your wedding date (when we place orders with our wholesalers). The remaining balance will be due at that time, and we’ll be happy to accommodate any changes you need to make.
